Week 63

Dear Mother,
Transfers were kind of crazy I'll talk about it later. Yes I am still in the office. Sometimes it's frustrating being in the office but its good. I like it.
Tuesday-We helped move the ofankor sisters. That was actually pretty easy. We just got ready for transfers.
Wednesday- Transfers. Drove to the MTC at like 530 picked up all the new missionaries. It was 18 I believe. Most of them were Americans so we barely had room in the cars for all their luggage ha. The transfer is self went ok. We got to new missionaries in the district and one of them is from Mesa. After the transfer we had to go haul peoples luggage to them. We went to odorkor and McCarthy hills, kasoa, ashtown, and buduburam. So it has a nice little trip. Then we got home and I just passed out so tired.
Thursday- I was able to do interviews for the Tesano elders. They have been working with a strong less active and she finally came back to church so that was exciting.
Friday- a new missionary that came was sick so we had to look after him. that the one the picture I sent. He was really cool.
Saturday- We went to Nsawam. Got the best juice I have ever had in Ghana. It's called Blue skies so delicious. We also bought a pizza as well on Saturday. We enjoyed small this week ha.
So this week was good. The church is true. I have been thinking about one of our investigators Ray. I just feel that I am suppose to help him into the church. He is such a sweet guy we just haven't been able to meet with him. I just feel so strongly about him and I really I can help the Lord fulfill His plans with him. I love you

Week 62

Dear Mother,
This week was an nice week. On Tuesday we went to Sankubenase up in the bush, it's about a 4 hour drive away. They were having an open house there and President wanted us and the Assistants to go an help and bring them supplies. So we woke up early in the morning drove there and it was so much different than the city. Not too many people spoke English but it was still a lot of fun. The open house was a success and it was fun. So after it was finished we had to drop some Elders off at home. I got a sweet video its cool and then we started the journey back to Accra. On the way I bought some bread called B. Foster bread. This bread is crazy. It is so heavy and feels like a brick. One loaf costs 8 cedi and usually bread costs 3 so you can see the price comparison. So I bought a loaf and then went across the street to buy some other food. Well there was this old lady and whenever you are eating here people always say "you are invited" meaning you can have some of their food. Well I say this to the old women and then she proceeds to take a massive chunk of my bread and then it was just like a storm ha. A bunch of people came and took some of my bread and before I knew it half of my loaf was gone ha. It was pretty hilarious. This week we also had a service project  on Saturday. It was the All African Service Project so it was really fun. Alajo and Tesano wards were combined. We cleaned a gutter in Alajo. It was pretty nasty but it was fun. We got a lot of work done. It has been a good week. We have transfers this week so that should be eventful. We played basketball today. Yesterday we had the most massive FM I have ever have. Brother Dickson tried to kill us with fufu ha. I have never been that close to throwing up before. We kind of suffered but it was still delicious. The church is true and that is all that matters. Well mom I love you hope you have a great week.

Dear Father,

Week 61

Dear Mother,
My toe nail is still not grown back from when I got it cut ha. Yes I am writing Erica. She is teaching Africans which is sweet. We had missionaries going home last week. So we picked up 5 elders on Monday night and had a big sleepover at our apartment. There were 11 missionaries in our apartment. It was pretty packed ha. So on Tuesday they had all their going home things. Then an elder going to Samoa left on Wednesday so we had to take him to the airport and make sure he made it to security. Then after that we went to the area office and the other mission was having a transfer so we were able to see the other missionaries. I was able to see Elder Bradley so that was really nice. We went to a funeral on Saturday and that was cool. The lady who died her daughter was in our ward so she wanted us to bless her dead mother. It was weird seeing a dead body but it was a good experience. I ate a lot of sugar cane this week. The other Alajo elders are teaching a women and she always gives them sugar cane. I had to do more interviews this week so that was good. We taught Ray on Saturday and he is so interested in the Book of Mormon his understanding is there and so is his desire but he didn't come to church but I know he will progress. The church is true. Ghana is so sweet. Love you mom.

Dad,
The apartment is good. We don't have a washer at the house but we have one at the office. So I kind of do half and half. I wash some is the washer and some things by hand. Air conditioning, no but our apartment is so cold. I freeze every night ha. Transfers are next week. We usually do office stuff but we played ball a few weeks ago with Elder Hansen. It going well. We are still working on getting new investigators. Tomorrow we are going to the bush to help out with an open house they are doing up there. It's like a 4 hour drive so it should be fun. Love you dad have a great week.

Week 60

Dear Mother,
It was a good week. We had MLC (Missionary Leadership Conference) so we had some zone leaders stay in our place. I did some interviews this week. Sorry not too much time today. We have to go to Buduburam and pick up some missionaries that are going home. This week should be good.

Dear Father,
Its going well. No the Ghana Accra West mission home is at a different place than the the Ghana Accra mission home, but we always see the other office elders at the area office because that is where we pick up supplies and things like that. It was a good week. Yesterday we taught a very interesting Muslim man named Alpha. He asked some very good questions though so that was nice. Also I had to do a lot of baptismal interviews so that was good too. It's cool to interview candidates and see that desire that they have to follow Christ. Thanks for everything dad. Love you
